LifeShine

At LifeShine, we belive in joining with parents to pray scripture over their children - cultivating young lives who honor God,
love God's word, work together as a team, respect peers and honor and respect parents. Our children are learning to be
leaders in the community to "Let their light shine before men in such a way that they may see their good works,
and glorify our Father who is in heaven." (Matt 5:16)

LifeShine is an all day educational program and ministry designed for 1st-6th grade home schooled children which meets
once a week. Classes are taught by certified elementary school instructors and specialists who utilize a hands on approach to
learning through unit studies. The classes are intended as a supplement to a home school curriculum, not as a substitute for
parent led instruction the rest of the week. Students are encouraged to explore their abilities and learn in a fun, interactive,
and challenging environment. Core classes include daily devotionals, Music, Recess, Science, Spanish, Communications and
Art. Our desire is for each child to experience a variety of opportunities and develop their God-given creative abilities. We are
committed to work in partnership with families who have made the choice to educate at home. We believe in promoting unity
and good will among all home schooling families in the San Antonio area, regardless of educational style. Our instructors
hold to strong Biblical values and strive to honor Christ in all things. LifeShine is organized as a non-profit educational
enrichment program rather than a "Co-op" and is designed to give the homeschool parent a weekly break to refresh and be
energized for the rest of the week! Parents are not required to stay with their children on program days but are welcome to
stay and help if they choose. We also provide the children opportunities to play with quality educational materials that
may be expensive to the individual homeschooling family. Our hope is to acquire the most quality, hands on resources for
home school families to utilize throughout the elementary years.
